NASA Global Imagery Browse Services (GIBS) https://wiki.earthdata.nasa.gov/display/GIBS/

This service can be used both as WMS and WMTS service. The default is to use WMS. You can change the preferred service-type on the initialization of the Maps-object via:

>>> m = Maps(preferred_wms_service="wms")
or
>>> m = Maps(preferred_wms_service="wmts")
