Cleanup all references to the object so that it can be safely deleted.
This function is primarily used internally to clear objects if the figure is closed.
Note
Executing this function will remove ALL attached callbacks and delete all assigned datasets & pre-computed values.
ONLY execute this if you do not need to do anything with the layer
